Creeping at Verizon

I'm at Verizon getting this dang phone fixed.... At this time, it was probably a Motorola Razor, Zach Morris style, which my dad actually still uses to this day.  So, there's a guy in front of me at Customer Service getting some work done on his cellular too.  I mean let's just say I'm good with #'s/a little creepy.  I hear the guy tell the Verizon employee his number.  I'm single, I'm trying to mingle, I was insecure when I was younger so this is how I got digits.  I'm staring at this guy up and down thinking he'd be a good catch.  I'm on my lunch break, his phone is fixed, gotta make a move fast.  So ill just memorize his number.  I repeat it in my mind several times.  K, I got it.  I get back to my desk at CBS, and I talk to my office partner and tell her that I just creeped a guys number at Verizon.  Wendy, black lady, in her 30's, married with a teenager, bitch not to mess with.  She had my back, and always gave me the honest truth.  However, this time she said screw it, text him and explain who you are.  And then she threw in the words.... 'He could be the 1'.  Damnit Wendy, okay fine, ill text him. 
He was actually flattered, that may be the creepiest part of the story now that I think of it.  Anyways we end up chatting for weeks, and run into each other a few times, but never hung out besides that.
Months go by, and I'm still single.  My sister too.... She goes on a date with this guy she meets on an online dating site.  Tells me about her date and this is how it goes.....
We were telling eachother stories, and laughing and then he brings up this girl that he met before.
It was me.  At the Verizon store.  Creeping his #.
